Stepping Stones Wee College & Youth Center Staff Information

All of our childcare professionals employed at Stepping Stones Wee College are chosen with the highest standard of care.  We strive to hire experienced Early Childhood Educators who have either completed or are taking Early Childhood Education courses, or equivalent programs.  We are dedicated to continue professional development, and attend various conferences and seminars which facilitate our ability to provide quality programming and care for the children enrolled in our programs.

All staff members are required to submit, upon employment, a certificate, signed by a qualified physician stating that the results of a complete medical examination showing no signs of mental, physical or emotional illness that would inhibit her/him from providing quality care to children.  Staff are also required, upon employment, to complete, with the RCMP, a Disclosure of Criminal Record Information which is forwarded to the Director, along with a Prior Contact Check form from the Department of Health and Community Services, confirming that the employee in question has never been charged with any offence related to the abuse, neglect or injury of a child (ren).  To further ensure the safety of all children attending the center, all Educators re-certify in First Aid and Infant/Child CPR on a regular basis.
