Can you believe another holiday season is here?  We will all be very busy with the hustle and bustle of this very active time of year.  Make sure you take the time to make a memory or two.

We started November focusing on the brave soldiers that gave themselves to keep us safe from harm.  Our class did fantastic art that focused us on drawing how the song Flanders Field made us feel.  The art was quick and fantastic.

Our classroom’s “Parents in the Community” project is growing in leaps and bounds.  As well as photos from every single parent, I am adding in some photos to share how I am conducting our activities with the wide array of jobs represented.  The children have truly enjoyed the chance to be their parents.  I can not thank you all enough for your support in this great teaching opportunity.

This past month has also been a great lesson in giving.  The children brought in many pounds of non-perishable food items for the food bank.  We were fortunate enough to get the chance to go and deliver the collected items personally to the food bank.  The children were shown around and given a snack of muffin to eat upon our return.  The children had an understanding look of sadness as they gazed into several empty freezers.  They understood that there were still more food needed, and they spoke of it many times since.  We are never too small to get in the giving spirit.

I am looking forward to the upcoming month of Christmas sights and sounds.  Our December project will be to take a moment to reflect n your own family traditions.  I will be excited to see just where this project will lead.

I hope you all enjoyed our Holiday Concert and I hope you have a wonderful holiday season.

Sincerely,

Tanya
